Cpanel 2FA

Hello,

I have a shared Godaddy account and i need to secure cpanel access with two factor authentication. How can this be configured? I know for a fact that cpanel supports 2FA so it is not acceptable for Godaddy to not support this feature in their cpanel hosting accounts.

2FA is a server level adjustment for cPanel - GoDaddy has customized cPanel to a certain degree for integration into their systems.

I am an end users, however I can tell you that from a support perspective I don't see a hosting provider enabling 2FA at the cPanel level as it would create a lot of support from the perspective that now someone could need a 2FA to access their account with the hosting provider and then a 2nd 2FA to get onto the server itself and if someone needs support I don't know what would be involved to reset / remove things

If having 2FA at the server level is important to you, I suggest getting a VPS server where you have more control over the settings.
