The shared hosting server for my sites went down today - all day - no cpanel - no sites - nada. After first promising it would "pop back immediately" when they rebooted, tech support finally just kept saying "no update". So . . . now after 6 hours the cpanel is back, and thankfully the site files appear to be intact, but the sites are not live and I'm stumped - apparently support is stumped too. Any advice? I thought maybe save/copy or clone and reinstall? I thought maybe somebody has had this before. I think its a new server installation with my original files on it, so maybe something needs to be directed to the site files again.
When going to the sites:
Not Found
The requested URL / was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Why not create a new directory and point your domain there and copy files into the new directory?
