How to add a dynamic extension to PHP

I am investigating the possibility of adding a self compiled extension to php for use on my website. Normally I would use an entry like extension={nameof_extension} in the appropriate place in the php.ini.

Is this possible with cPanel Hosting and if yes how?

Re: How to add a dynamic extension to PHP

I think I have found the answer for my self. I found a YouTube video showing how to create a custom php.ini, no explanation, no sound, very fast and then a more detailed textual explanation of the steps needed
