Multiple Site Hosting on GoDaddyUltimate r called Alias or Secondary or Sub or AdOn Domains?

We have a very old GoDaddy Ultimate Hosting Package.. Not sure if it is cPanel or not as not sure what cPanel is but the point of this post is...
We can host multiple domain names/web sites on our GoDaddy Ultimate plan but the "parent" site does not appear in the visitors browser... For Instance:
Parent Site = mywebsite.com
under there we have folders for, and are hosting...
xyzabc.com
abcxyz.com
A user can key www.xyzabc.com into his browser and the site comes up with the address...
www.xyzabc.com

as opposed to

mywebsite.com/xyzabc.com
The Question: are these other sites called Aliss Domains or Secondar domains or Sub Domains or AddOn Domains or what?
For communication reasons I need to know the proper terms for this as so far everybody gets confused when I try and tell them that we can host multiple websites on our GoDaddy Ultimate Plan.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Multiple Site Hosting on GoDaddyUltimate r called Alias or Secondary or Sub or AdOn Domains?

Hi @fran_3, thanks for posting.

In GoDaddy hosting accounts, they are usually called Addon Domains or Secondary Domains. Alias domains also exist, but they are different. Alias domains refer to adding another domain to the same website, so that both domains display the same website. Sub domains are added to the front of an existing domain, such as SUBDOMAIN. maindomain. com.

For clarity, you might just want to explain it as hosting another website through your account.
