my site is redirected to /cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi

Primary domain configured already with the Linux VPS bought. But when browse through IP it redirects to cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi 

Also having permission issue in moving the files to /var/www/html

If you are using a server with access to whm you can use this guide to create the cpanel account and configure the dns.

Then be sure to setup the dns outlined here

@rajuquad When browsing your VPS using your domain does your site pull up?

What webserver are you using? Apache, Nginx or some other server? 

Most likely you will need to configure your webserver and setup a new virtual host with hostname set as the server name or configure a default virtual host to answer all request to your server. 

 

If you are using cPannel and Apache you can try the suggestions in post 15 by egillette
