Add my Professional Email to Outlook on Android


Step 5 of the Set up my Professional Email series.

Add your Professional Email account to Outlook for Android. Then you can send and receive email from your phone.

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. Tap Account menu icon Outlook app for Android the account menu, and then settings gear settings menu Settings. If you're a new user, tap ADD ACCOUNT, and then skip to step 4.
  3. Tap ADD MAIL ACCOUNT, and then Add an email Account.

  4. Enter your email address, and then tap Continue.
    • You might get an Accounts found page. If the email address that you are setting up is listed, tap the checkbox next to it, and then tap Continue. Otherwise, tap SKIP THESE ACCOUNTS.
  5. Select IMAP.
  6. Enter your password, display name and description (like your company's name or email type), and then tap the settings gear settings menu checkbox.
  7. If Outlook cannot detect your IMAP server settings, tap the Advanced Settings toggle, and then enter the following settings (If Outlook was able to detect your settings automatically, skip to the next step).
    • Under IMAP Incoming Mail Server, make sure the fields are as follows:
      • IMAP Host Name: imap.secureserver.net
      • Port: 993
      • Security Type: SSL/TLS
      • IMAP Username: Your email address
      • IMAP Password: Your email password
    • Under SMTP Outgoing Mail Server, make sure the fields are as follows:
      • SMTP Host Name: smtpout.secureserver.net
      • Port: 465
      • Security Type: SSL/TLS
      • SMTP Username: Your email address
      • SMTP Password: Your email password
  8. If this is your first email account on Outlook for Android, you'll be asked if you want to add another account. To skip this step, tap MAYBE LATER. If this isn't your first account, you'll return to the settings.

Your email is on your Android device, and you're ready to go.
