Chat with and message my customers

When you’re ready to start interacting with your customers through real-time chat and automated messaging, you’ll need to make sure Chat + Conversations is enabled, and then publish your website.

  1. In a web browser, go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. Select Edit Website or Edit Site to open your website builder.
  4. In the lower-right corner, tap GDSTUDIO-export-icon-iOS More options. If you see Chat, it's already available to you. If you see Messaging, you need to update to Chat. Follow the steps to update Website Messaging to Chat + Conversations.
  5. (Optional) Customize the Chat widget to reflect your brand.
  6. To make Chat available to your customers, select Publish at the top of your screen.

    Your site will immediately be published and Chat will be available to your customers.
  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.

  4. Under WEBSITE ADD-ONS in the bottom-right corner, if you see Chat, it's already available to you. If you see Messaging, you need to update to Chat. Follow the steps to update Website Messaging to Chat + Conversations.
  5. (Optional) Customize the Chat widget to reflect your brand.
  6. To make Chat available to your customers, select Publish at the top of your browser window.
