Link my smartphone
Before you can use your new business number, you will need to link your SmartLine account to your mobile device. If you don't have a SmartLine number, you get one from the SmartLine home page or directly from the SmartLine mobile app.
- Launch the SmartLine app and login to your GoDaddy account.
- Enter your mobile number and click Confirm.
- Allow SmartLine to access your Contacts and Notifications, then click Continue. Android users will only see the Contacts option. Notifications are already allowed by default.
Note: In order for SmartLine to work properly, the SmartLine app must have access to your Contacts and Notifications.
Now that the app is linked to your smartphone, you can start using your SmartLine number.
Call history will only be displayed for the active number.
When you login to your account, you'll be asked to select a number to use. If you need to the view the Timeline for another number, go to Settings and tap My SmartLine Number to select the other number.
Outbound calls and text will be sent from the active number
If you need to make a call or send a text from a specific number, you'll need to switch numbers from the Settings page.
New text and voicemail notifications will only be sent for the active number
To view texts and voicemails for another number, you'll need to go to Settings and select the other number.
Inbound calls will not specify which number is receiving a call
If a customer calls any of your linked SmartLine numbers, your phone will ring. SmartLine will mark the call as a business call, but it won't tell you which number the customer dialed to reach you.
SmartLine can only be linked to a U.S. mobile number
You can only use a U.S. mobile phone number with your SmartLine account. Landline or international numbers, including Canada and Mexico, are not supported.
