Turn on or reboot my Poynt Smart Terminal
Press and hold the power button for different durations to wake up, restart or reboot your Poynt Smart Terminal.
Before you begin, ensure your Poynt Smart Terminal is connected to a power source by placing the device on the docking station. You can tell whether the Poynt Smart Terminal is seated correctly by making sure the cord extends from the docking station toward the merchant screen. When facing the merchant screen, the power button is located behind the screen, on the left.
Wake the Poynt Smart Terminal
Your Poynt Smart Terminal has a sleep function that conserves power between uses. You can wake it up by pressing the power button and releasing it quicky (hold it for about one second).
Power on the Poynt Smart Terminal
Press and hold the power button for three seconds.
Power Down or Reboot the Poynt Smart Terminal
Press and hold the power button for three seconds. On the menu that appears, select Power off or Reboot.
