Update WordPress in the Dashboard

You can update WordPress to its latest version from within the dashboard.

Warning:You should always backup your site before updating.

Log in to WordPress
From the Dashboard menu, click Updates.
Under the heading "An updated version of WordPress is available," click Update Now.
Note: Your WordPress site will be put into Maintenance Mode until the update completes.
