GoDaddy Conversations Help

Upgrade my free GoDaddy Conversations plan in Websites + Marketing

Your Websites + Marketing plan comes with a free version of GoDaddy Conversations, which gives you access to certain features, including a unified inbox, web contact forms and a chat widget for your website. Upgrade to a Conversations Essentials, Deluxe or Ultimate plan for more features. To get a business phone number, you’ll need a Deluxe or Ultimate plan.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. In the left menu, expand Conversations, and then select Settings.
  4. Select Channels.
  5. Under Phone and SMS, select No phone numbers connected yet.
  6. Select Start for Free.
  7. To review your options, select See all plans. (If you select Start trial, you'll be signed up for a Conversations Essentials plan, which does not come with a business phone number.) To get a business phone number, choose Deluxe or Ultimate.
  8. On the plan you've chosen, select Try Free for 7 Days.
  9. Fill in your payment details and select Save. (You’ll only be billed after the 7-day trial ends.)
  10. Select Start Free Trial.

Your Conversations free trial will begin. If you have a Deluxe or Ultimate plan, follow the steps to set up your business phone number. During your 7-day free trial, once you’ve set up your business number, you can:

  • Receive calls
  • Make calls
  • Receive text messages

You won't be able to send text messages during the free trial. If you continue your subscription after the trial, you’ll need to verify your business number before you can send text messages.

Note: If your free trial comes to an end and you choose not to continue your subscription, the account will be suspended for a short while. We’ll hold onto your number during this suspension, and if you choose to resubscribe, you’ll get the same number to keep using as before. However, once your account is fully canceled, your number will be released and you won’t have access to it again. To make sure this doesn't happen, we encourage you to move to a paid subscription as soon as your free trial ends.
