Upload your site files

Required: Your new hosting account must be setup and WordPress must be installed and working to complete the rest of the steps in this series.

To upload your WordPress site content, access your new hosting server to upload the site files.

Connect to your new hosting account using a file manager or an FTP client like Filezilla. Each hosting provider has a preferred way of doing this. If you're unsure how to do it, ask your new hosting provider for instructions.
Replace the wp-content in your new hosting by uploading the folder you downloaded in Download your site files, choose to overwrite the existing content.
