What is the Outlook Setup Assistant?
The Outlook Setup Assistant is a lightweight client application that automatically creates an Outlook profile. This tool is for those who moved from Workspace Email to Microsoft 365 and use Outlook for Windows.
If your email uses POP settings, the Outlook Setup Assistant will attach a local copy of your previous PST to your new Outlook profile. This means you'll have a second inbox called Old_POP. For example, if your email is firstname.lastname@example.org, the inbox will be called Old_POP_paul@coolexample.com. This inbox will contain your previous email, but all incoming email will go to your new primary inbox.

The Outlook Setup Assistant is for anyone with an email account affected by the move from Workspace Email to Microsoft 365. It supports the following configurations:
- Windows 8 and 10.
- Outlook for Windows including versions 2013, 2016, and 2019.
- Outlook 2013 (versions prior to 15.0.4971.1000; all versions will be phased out by April 2023).
