Windows Hosting (Plesk) Bantuan

.NET end-of-life for older versions

At GoDaddy, we're dedicated to providing you with the best hosting experience possible. To ensure our services remain secure, reliable, and compatible with the latest technologies, we're making important updates to our Windows Hosting product.

What's changing?

Beginning November 10, 2026, we will begin removing support for all .NET Core and .NET versions that have reached end of life (EOL). These older versions will no longer be available on our servers after this date.

If your application currently relies on a specific .NET version that is being removed and is incompatible with a newer, supported version, it may stop working.

Warning: To avoid any disruption, we strongly recommend upgrading your application to a supported .NET version before November 10, 2026.

Supported Versions Moving Forward

After this update, we'll support the following versions:

  • The latest version of .NET Framework 3.5
  • The latest version of .NET Framework 4.8
  • .NET Core 10

Why are these changes important?

Maintaining up-to-date software is crucial for several reasons:

  • Security Enhancements: Older software versions no longer receive security updates from Microsoft, leaving your applications vulnerable to threats. Updating ensures you have the latest security patches to protect your data and your customers' information.
  • Improved Compatibility: Newer .NET versions offer better compatibility with modern browsers and devices. This ensures that your applications run smoothly across various platforms and provide a consistent experience for all users.
  • Enhanced Performance: Updates often include performance improvements and new features that can make your applications run more efficiently, providing a better user experience.

What actions do I need to take?

To ensure your applications continue to function properly, please take the following steps:

  1. Identify Affected Applications: Review your websites and applications hosted with us to determine whether they use any EOL .NET Framework or .NET Core versions.
  2. Plan Your Upgrade Path: Decide which supported version to upgrade to, considering each version's compatibility and features.
  3. Update Your Codebase: Modify your application code to be compatible with the newer .NET versions. This may involve updating dependencies, refactoring deprecated APIs, and ensuring that all functionality performs as expected.
  4. Test Thoroughly: Before deploying the updated application, thoroughly test it in a development or staging environment to identify and fix any issues.
  5. Deploy and Monitor: Once testing is complete, deploy the updated application to your live environment and monitor it closely to ensure smooth operation.
Warning: Delaying updates can lead to security vulnerabilities, degraded performance, and compatibility issues that may affect your users' experience. By updating your applications promptly, you ensure they are secure and efficient, providing the best possible experience.
