I can't build a website. Browsers can't display index page?

I have one main domain and one hosting account.

I uploaded test file(index.html) in the public_html folder, but web browser can't display index page.

IE, Firefox, Chrome...etc, any browser can't display index page.

I had so many time file rename, remove and replace, but only display Get Started page of Godaddy.

    Please help me.

    Hello there,

I found this site to be very useful when working with a new domain/site http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com

Sometimes I site is up and running but we have not cleaned out our cookies etc.. Have you tried to bring up your website on another computer?

If your site still does not work, perhaps the dns setting should be looked at?

Hope this gave you something to think about

    Thank you for your advise.

I tried clean up browser history and cookies, but same condition.

And index file move to other directory root, also same problem.

    Hi @stblueco,

Please refer to this thread. This should help you resolve your issue.

Sometimes the file system wants the website files to go into a subfolder of the public one. Check through cpanel / file manager and see if there is a subdirectory made for your site. If so, move the files to that folder and see if that solves the problem.
