How do I remove the "monitoring" script?

A couple days ago I noticed a new script being added to my pages at the very end of the code, after the </body> tag and before the </html> tag. The script is as follows:

<script>'undefined'=== typeof _trfq || (window._trfq = []);'undefined'=== typeof _trfd && (window._trfd=[]),_trfd.push({'tccl.baseHost':'secureserver.net'}),_trfd.push({'ap':'cpbh'},{'server':'a2plvcpnl19166'}) // Monitoring performance to make your website faster. If you want to opt-out, please contact web hosting support.</script><script src='https://img1.wsimg.com/tcc/tcc_l.combined.1.0.6.min.js'></script></html>

I tried contacting Godaddy support but they said they don't see the code nor could they remove or fix it. This is breaking my AMP pages (1,500+ pages and climbing). How do I remove this?

@rheahayworth,

Hmmmm, that's a bit creepy! Are you sure it's been placed there by godaddy? What platform is your site built on? Have you searched online for answers to this?

I have searched and apparently there is another similar post posted to this community about a month ago: https://www.godaddy.com/community/cPanel-Hosting/how-to-remove-additional-quot-monitoring-quot-script-added/td-p/62592

My site is on wordpress.

Re: How do I remove the "monitoring" script?

Your best bet is to move to a VPS; that's what I was told by a rep, sites on shared hosting will have the monitoring script. My AMP pages are also broken, as a result of this injected script.

Solution

Re: How do I remove the "monitoring" script?

There is a solution to this.

Go to gateway.godaddy.com.

You'll see a purple box about new features. Click "Try it out"

Next to the green button labelled "cPanel Admin" are three dots, click the dots and click "Help Us"

Choose "Opt Out"

Done.

Re: How do I remove the "monitoring" script?

THANK YOU!

The code is on by default, not obvious to remove, and GoDaddy isn't up front about the code being there in the first place. You're not helping your reputation, GoDaddy.

Re: How do I remove the "monitoring" script?

I Have "OPT IN" under help us ..

Re: How do I remove the "monitoring" script?

The other thread is closed now. Here's the current solution:

  1. Go to https://myh.godaddy.com/#/hosting/cpanel/account/{your-account-number}
  2. Three dots next to "cpanel admin"
  3. "Help Us"
  4. Opt out of that **bleep**

Screen looks like this, note the yellow highlighted section.godaddy2.PNG

Very disappointed in GoDaddy for this.....  how long did I spend trying to detect malware on my site....

Re: How do I remove the "monitoring" script?

Thank you so much for your answer. I applied it, and it instantly removed that tracking script. I've worked hard at making my webpages fast. Removing that script reduced two of my main pages' loading times from about 7/10 of a second to 4/10 of a second. Again, many thanks! I am quite disappointed that Godaddy would include a script on our pages that adds a substantial amount of milliseconds to the page load time.
