Professional Email powered by Titan Help

Professional Email is moving to Professional Email powered by Titan

We’re moving all Professional Email accounts to a new and improved provider called Titan. We're here to help you during this transition, answer your questions and make sure your email service continues running smoothly. You’ll continue to receive 24/7 support from our GoDaddy Guides before, during and after your migration.

There'll be no interruptions to your email service during the migration, but we'll email you beforehand, including 30 days and 24 hours ahead of the transition. We'll send another email once the migration is complete.

Note: If you purchase or set up additional Professional Email mailboxes after you’re notified about the upgrade to Professional Email powered by Titan, those mailboxes will also be included in your scheduled migration. To see all affected mailboxes, go to your Email & Office Dashboard.

About the migration

We’re retiring Professional Email to give you better features and security with Professional Email powered by Titan.

Based on your current plan, here's what you'll move to:

  • Professional Email Individual → Pro Light (Professional Email powered by Titan)
  • Professional Email Team → Pro Plus (Professional Email powered by Titan)

We’ll move all your existing Professional Email data, including your emails, folders, contacts and calendar.

To understand what’s included in your new plan including features, limits and capabilities, see Compare Professional Email powered by Titan plans and Professional Email and Professional Email powered by Titan comparison.

During the transition, check your Email & Office Dashboard for updates. If you have any files saved in your Professional Email Drive, please download any folders or documents before your migration.

Any unactivated Professional Email credits will be converted to Professional Email powered by Titan credits, which you can use to set up new email addresses.

We know change can be difficult, but we recommend giving Professional Email powered by Titan a try. It’s more secure and reliable, with more collaboration features.

If you don't want to move to Professional Email powered by Titan, cancel your Professional Email credits at any time. Otherwise, your account will move automatically, and Professional Email credits will be removed 14 days after migration.

Features

Professional Email powered by Titan comes with a suite of features like:

Learn more about Titan features on the product page.

  • Professional Email Drive: Files stored in Drive won’t be moved. Before your migration, please download any folders or documents you want to keep.
  • Tasks: Professional Email powered by Titan doesn’t support tasks. However, you can set follow-up reminders for specific emails.
  • Send as Alias: Sending email as an alias is only available to Premium and Ultra plans with Professional Email powered by Titan. To continue using this feature, upgrade your email plan.
  • Some inbox rules: If you have more than 100 inbox rules set up in Professional Email, only the first 100 will be migrated to Professional Email powered by Titan. Additionally, because inbox rules work differently between the two platforms, some rules may not transfer over even if you have fewer than 100. Setup and technical changes

As part of the migration to Professional Email powered by Titan, the CalDAV URL has been updated. Previously, the URL varied depending on your region. It has now been consolidated into a single URL format for all accounts:

https://dav.myprofessionalmail.com/principals/[EMAIL] (Replace [EMAIL] with your email address.)

To get your calendar syncing again, update the CalDAV URL in each app or device where you have your calendar connected. The steps will vary depending on your calendar app, but you'll generally find this setting under your account or server settings.

No, your email address and password will stay the same. If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it.

If you use an email client on your phone or computer, you don’t need to update or reconfigure your settings. After you move to Professional Email powered by Titan, you may notice your email downloading again the next time you open your client.

If your email client uses the POP3 protocol and is set to leave a copy of messages on the server, your emails may download again after the migration. POP3 doesn’t sync mail like IMAP does, so when your mailbox is moved to the new server, previously downloaded messages can appear again as new.

If your DNS is hosted with GoDaddy, no action is needed; we’ll handle the DNS changes. However, if your DNS is managed with a different provider, you’ll receive instructions in your email.

During the transition, it’s important to keep your MX records pointing to your Professional Email. If you update your MX records before your transition's complete, your mail will deliver to Professional Email powered by Titan prematurely.

Billing and account details

After your transition date, all new messages are delivered to Professional Email powered by Titan. You can still access Professional Email webmail up to 3 days after the move, and then we'll remove Professional Email from your account.

Your Professional Email powered by Titan credits will match your Professional Email credits in duration and price through your first renewal. For example, if you have Professional Email credits that are good for the next 14 months, you'll automatically get Professional Email powered by Titan credits that are also good for the next 14 months at the same price.

In most cases, your renewal date won’t change. If you have a monthly subscription, we’ll automatically add time to your renewal date to make sure there aren’t billing issues during your transition.

Use of your email accounts on the new platform will continue to be governed by our Universal Terms of Service and Email Services Agreement. The Email Services Agreement has recently been updated and includes reference to the Titan agreements and policies, which also apply.
