To verify that your SSL certificate is doing its job, open a browser and go to your URL. You should see a padlock before your URL showing that your site is secure. You should also see https in the browser address. Congratulations! You have installed your certificate and your site is secure.

Advertencias de contenido no seguro o mixto

Depending on your browser you may find images or other content missing from the page, or you see an exclamation mark icon or other warning in the browser about the site not being secure. This is usually caused by your HTTPS page containing unsecured HTTP content. To protect users from mixed content, browsers either strip the unsecure content from the page or post a warning that the page’s content is not secure so the page shouldn't be trusted.

La buena noticia es que tu certificado está instalado y funciona bien. La mala noticia es que el código HTML de tu página tiene enlaces ‘http://’. Puedes arreglar esto cambiando cualquier enlace HTML con ‘http://’ a ‘https://’ o a una URL relativa.

Sin candado

Cuando el candado no aparece y no hay mensajes de error, es difícil saber exactamente qué parte de la configuración falló. Estas son algunas acciones que puedes hacer y con las que es más probable que soluciones el problema.

  • Revisa tu configuración de redireccionamiento HTTPS: un problema con la redirección de HTTPS es la causa más común de que el candado no aparezca. Configura tu Redirección HTTPS de nuevo y luego intenta ver tu sitio seguro.
  • Reinicia tu certificado: reiniciar tu certificado puede resolver los problemas con el certificado en sí.
  • Reinstall your certificate – To make sure everything is set up correctly, go back and reinstall your certificate.
