Adjust GoDaddy Smart Terminal sleep and sign-out settings
Increase your GoDaddy Smart Terminal security by enabling automatic sleep mode and user sign-out. You can activate sleep mode to put the device to sleep after a certain amount of inactivity and set criteria to automatically sign out the active Smart Terminal user. This helps ensure that unauthorized users can’t access your device if it’s left unattended.
You can adjust these settings in the GoDaddy Payments Dashboard on your web browser or on a GoDaddy Smart Terminal.
- Sign in to the Dashboard where you manage your GoDaddy Payments account (use your GoDaddy username and password).
- Select Settings.
- Under Auto Sign Out & Sleep, adjust the following settings:
- Sleep settings: Next to Enable automatic sleep, turn on the toggle to put your Smart Terminal into sleep mode after a period of inactivity. In the Sleep after field, adjust the amount of time before sleep mode activates (30 seconds, 5 minutes, etc.).
- Auto Sign-out: Turn on the toggles next to After every transaction or When devices go to sleep to automatically sign the active user out of the Smart Terminal after each completed transaction or when the device goes into sleep mode.
- Select Save.
- Tap Settings on the second page of the Smart Terminal home screen.
