How the WordPress Troubleshooter handles downtime

When your WordPress site goes down, the WordPress Troubleshooter activates automatically—no action required on your end.

What the Troubleshooter does

  1. Detects downtime and gathers diagnostic data
  2. Creates a safety backup of your site
  3. Attempts to fix common WordPress issues automatically

What you'll see in the dashboard

  • Your site is live: The issue was resolved; your Site Status updates to confirm
  • Issue could not be fixed automatically: You'll see an alert with clear options to get expert help

Email notifications during an incident

You don't need to be logged in to stay informed. The dashboard sends email updates at each stage:

  • Site restored automatically: You'll receive a confirmation that your site is back online
  • Manual help needed: You'll receive next steps, including how to start a chat or open a ticket

How to reach Advanced WordPress Support

You have two ways to connect with a WordPress expert.

From the Pro Support Dashboard

If the WordPress Troubleshooter can't resolve the issue, the dashboard surfaces a prompt to start a live chat with a WordPress expert.

From anywhere in your account

Select Contact Us in the bottom-right corner of your screen. This connects you directly to advanced WordPress support—no bots.

Chat support is available 24/7 and works well for:

  • Urgent or time-sensitive WordPress issues
  • Complex or site-specific problems
  • Situations where you want real-time guidance from an expert
