Domain Registry trying to get money from me for renewal

Has anyone else gotten a letter from Domain Registry at 94 Bergen Ave., Suite 289, Jersey City, NJ, warning of the expiration of their domain name and offering to renew it at about twice the price of GoDaddy's renewal price? I am registered for autorenewal with GoDaddy. If I believed them before checking my account I'd end up paying for it twice, at twice the price of GoDaddy's. This seems pretty shady to me.  Is this legal, or can they plead ignorance?

Domain Registry of America is something that has been reported /discussed for the better part of 10 years if not more. Doing some Google Searches you can find a number of FTC cases involving them and deceptive practices.

I believe they have changed names a few times over the years and they've adjusted the format of the letter - but at first glance you think it is a bill and you need to pay it.

I've also seen (and personally received) what looks like a $60 bill for search engine submissions services and and if I don't pay it my website will be de-listed.
