Terms of Domain Auto-Renewal

My domains are set to auto-renew at the end of the month. How do I make sure they renew for only 1 year, as opposed to longer?  I just experimented on the site. Where it said "your domains are set to expire on xx date," there was also a Renew Now option. When I chose that it added the renewals to the cart but for 2 years. Of course I could change that in the cart, but if it auto renews I won't have that option.  Any help appreciated.

Re: Terms of Domain Auto-Renewal

Hi @mtbpaige! Thanks for posting and being a part of the GoDaddy Community.

Per our domain name registration agreement, the auto renew will renew the domain for the same length of time as it was initially registered for. If you would like to only renew the domain for one year, you will want to log into your account and manually renew it.

Hope this helps!
