Use the SSL Setup Service
SSL Setup Service is a one-time setup. It's ideal for customers with existing SSL certificates who need help installing and eliminating browser warnings but don't want or need ongoing certificate management.
- Go to your GoDaddy product page.
- Select SSL Certificates, and then next to the SSL Setup Service you're activating select Set up.
- On the next page, next to the heading indicating how many plans you have available, select Set Up.
- On the next page, next to the heading indicating how many SSL Setup Service plans you have available, select Set Up.
- Choose one of the following:
- Select the SSL certificate to use for the service.
- If you're using Managed WordPress or cPanel AutoSSL (Deluxe plans and higher), select Other options and then select The certificate is integrated into hosting.
- Or, if you're seeing an SSL error or mixed content warning, or the site isn't redirecting to HTTPS, select Other options and then select The certificate is already installed.
- Enter the domain name you want covered by the certificate, and then select Continue:
- If your site is hosted with GoDaddy: Select the check boxes to agree with the terms and then select Continue.
Note: If the domain name you entered is assigned to multiple hosting accounts, in the drop-down menu select the hosting account to use with the domain. - If your site is hosted elsewhere: Provide your hosting credentials and select Continue, select the check boxes to agree with the terms, and then select Continue.
Note: By selecting each available checkbox, you enable GoDaddy to make modifications to your site, request your SSL certificate, and agree to the SSL Subscriber Agreement and the Certificate Services Agreement on your behalf. - If your site is hosted with GoDaddy: Select the check boxes to agree with the terms and then select Continue.
