Block user-agents from the Website Security firewall
The Website Security firewall can block access from visitors with a specific user-agent.
A user-agent refers to the application that is connecting to your site. For example it could be the browser that a normal visitor is using or the name of a bot that is crawling your site.
Required: If your dashboard looks different, you’re seeing the new version which does not have the ability to block requests by user-agent.
- Go to your GoDaddy product page.
- Under Website Security and Backups, next to the Website Security account you want to manage, select Manage.
- Under Firewall, select Details.
- Select Settings.
- Select Access Control.
- Select Block User-Agents.
- Type the user-agent into the text box.
- Select Block to add the user-agent to the list.

Note: It's helpful to clear the cache after blocking a user-agent.
