Enable root or admin access to my VPS Hosting
Here's how to enable root (sudo or substitute/super user) access to your managed or fully managed VPS Hosting. You might need this kind of access to install applications or make high-level changes to your server configuration.
- Sign in to your GoDaddy product page.
 - In your My Products page, select Servers.
 - Next to the VPS Hosting you want to use, select Manage.
 - At the top of the page, select Settings.
 - Under Access, next to Admin Access, select Manage.
 - Select Enable Admin Access (root account sudo access), and then select Save.

Note: If you're using a Windows server and are connected to Secure Shell (SSH) or Remote Desktop Connection (RDC), you must sign out of your current session and then sign in to use admin access.
