What is Copilot for Microsoft 365?
Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an AI-powered assistant that seamlessly integrates with the Microsoft 365 products that you’re already using, like Word, Outlook and Excel. Copilot uses information from your files to give you summaries, draft new content, and answer your questions.
Brainstorm and draft content
With Copilot, say goodbye to writer's block. Copilot brainstorms and drafts content for you. Whether it's a blog post, email or presentation, Copilot helps bring your ideas to life. Example: In Word, you can type a prompt in the Draft with Copilot box, like “Write some taglines for a company focused on inclusive design.”
Summarize projects, meetings and communications
Need a quick recap of your latest project, meeting or email chain? Copilot can compile concise summaries, giving you an overview without having to sift through documents or messages.
Example: After a Teams meeting, go to the Recap tab and open Copilot to get a summary of the meeting. You could ask, “What questions were asked, answered and unresolved?” or “Summarize what people said, in a less technical way.”
Stay secure with Copilot
Any data that you share with Copilot is only used for your organization and is not used to train any of the foundational LLMs used by Copilot. The security rules that you have set up for your organization are inherited by Copilot, which means you don’t need to do any extra work to make sure your data is protected.
