  • Your WhatsApp personal or business app account cannot currently be connected to Conversations. Only WhatsApp Business Platform connections are supported at this time.
  • For now, GoDaddy Conversations is available in English only.

What is the WhatsApp Business Platform?

WhatsApp Business Platform (formerly WhatsApp Business API) is an enterprise-level solution for medium to large businesses to communicate with customers at scale.

Who can connect the WhatsApp Business Platform to Conversations?

WhatsApp Business Platform connection is available to customers with a paid Conversations plan (Essentials, Deluxe or Ultimate), in English markets only for now. You'll also need a Facebook account to sign up with.

Can I read my messages in my WhatsApp app?

GoDaddy Conversations provides the inbox for the WhatsApp Business Platform, which is not connected to the WhatsApp business or personal apps. You can read your messages in your Conversations unified inbox but not on your WhatsApp app.

What happens if I delete a WhatsApp message from my Conversations inbox?

If you delete messages from your Conversations unified inbox, they'll no longer be accessible through your Conversations account. You also won't be able to retrieve them on the WhatsApp app.

What types of phone numbers can I use to connect my WhatsApp Business Profile?

  • Regular mobile phone numbers: Full 2-way communication is available (send/receive text and media).
  • Landline numbers: You'll need to verify the number through the Phone call option rather than through a text message.
  • Voice over IP (VoIP) numbers: Can't be used .

Does the WhatsApp Business Platform channel support WhatsApp message templates?

Message templates are not currently supported.

Note: WhatsApp uses approved templates to prevent spam. Because they’re not supported yet, you won’t be able to start or continue conversations with customers more than 24 hours after receiving their last message.

We don't charge for sending WhatsApp Business Platform messages but Meta may charge for certain services.
