Edit a photo on my website
Use the Websites + Marketing photo and image editing tool to crop, rotate and color correct your photos. You can also add text, reposition your photos and more.
- Go to your GoDaddy product page.
- Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
- Select Edit Website to open your website builder.
- Select the photo you want to edit.
- To edit the cover image in the header section, select anywhere in the header to open the right panel, and then select Cover Media.
- To edit images in other sections on your site, select the image.
- In the right panel, edit how the photo looks on your site.
- To change the shape of the image, select one of the shape icons above the image.
- To rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise, select
Rotate. Repeat to keep rotating. - To select a new image from your media library or to upload a new image, select Change image.
- To make more detailed edits, such as add a filter, play with shadow effects and use blend tools, select Edit. Your image will open in Content Creator. Once you're done with your detailed edits, select Continue to return to your website builder.
- To zoom out, drag the slider below the image left. To zoom in, drag the slider right.
- To reposition which part of the image is seen, left-click on the image in the right panel and drag to a new position.
- To make the image black and white, switch the Black & White toggle on.
- Add alt text (or alternative text) to the Image Description box. This helps visitors who use screen readers or those with slower connections, and also improves your page's ranking on search engines.
- When you've finished editing the photo, select Done, or click anywhere in the preview window to open a new section of your site.
- Your changes are saved automatically. When you're ready to make the changes public, publish your site.
