Won an expired domain auction but still haven't received the domain

Hi, I bid and subsequently won an auction for an expired domain on Godaddy auctions, the domain originally was registered at NameCheap, however since NameCheap sends their expired domains to Godaddy for auctions, I managed to win it on Godaddy auctions. Under "Status", it says "Expired domain ready on: 2018/10/03", but it's already been 3 days past that date and I still don't see the domain in my account. In the WHOIS info for the domain, it says "PendingTransfer", how long does this usually take? Also, do I need to confirm the domain transfer or will Godaddy automatically do that for me?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Re: Won an expired domain auction but still haven't received the domain

Greetings @m1strally ,

Thanks for the question, as others may be wondering as well. A standard inter-registrar transfer takes 5 to 7 days in most cases. The Registry allows this time in case a transfer is initiated and the account holder / registrant objects (it gives them time to react). While that does not generally occur in this type of transaction which is an intentional transfer, it is an industry courtesy.

This FAQ, while general, may also provide some information:

I hope that helps,
