Is there a way to remove the default homepage from the Ascension theme altogether? It initially pulled up as more or less a "blog" page upon installation. I was unable to modify it from it's origin. Thus, I created a new page and called it HOME. Now, it shows as two homepages in the top menu. The default homepage is not even shown in the pages menu. How do I remove this?

Thank you, Judith!
I actually found a YouTube link that explained it was a simple setting. I had to make sure the Homepage Settings were set to Static, and then make sure I had the correct page I wanted to show up selected.
About half way through this video, it mentioned making sure the Static page was set correctly.

Hopefully this will help someone else! Good day!
All you have to do is designate the other page as your Homepage here:
Settings > Reading
Change the settings from your latest posts to a static page.
There you'll find a box that you can then choose from any of your existing page to be used as your homepage. That should do it!
HTH! 😉
