    Root access via ssh?

    I was told for Godaddy VPS, I can only gain root access via WHM, but don't have root access via SSH, is this true?

    If it is, how can I grant my primary user (the one I create during server building) the root privileges in SSH?

    There are few things with this

    1) WHM now has a terminal window where you are in as root

    2) You might have to edit the ssh config file to allow direct root login

    3) You might have to add a user to the wheel group in order to login and su


    If you enable the direct root login I strongly suggest limiting it to key authentication
