What happened to my Twitter connection?
Due to recent changes to Twitter's third-party Application Programming Interface (API) integration policies, your ability to connect to Twitter from your GoDaddy account is no longer supported. This means you can no longer create, schedule or manage tweets directly from your GoDaddy dashboard.

Why did this happen?
Twitter ended free access to its API and dramatically changed the terms and pricing of the Twitter API. We've attempted to work with Twitter in good faith to negotiate terms, but we haven't been able to reach an agreement.
Back to topHow will this impact my ability to use Twitter through my Websites + Marketing site?
You can't post or schedule any posts directly from your GoDaddy account or Websites + Marketing site. You also can no longer promote your business on Twitter directly from your GoDaddy account or receive any Twitter data analytics on your GoDaddy social media dashboard.
Back to topWill this change impact my other social media connections?
No. This policy change only affects Twitter's connection. This change will not impact your other marketing tools or social media connections.
Back to topIs Twitter the same as X?
Yes. Twitter announced a name change to X in July 2023. X.com now redirects to Twitter.com. The company's logo has changed to “X” from what was once a bird logo, and the app now appears as “X” in the Apple and Google app stores.
Back to topWhen will this change take effect?
Twitter removed its API access on August 24, 2023, which is when the change took effect.
Back to topCan I still link to my Twitter account on my website?
Yes. You can add a link to your Twitter account on your website.
