Why is GoDaddy Payments (GDP) displaying on American Express bank statements?

Customers using American Express may initially see "GDP*GoDaddy Payments" on their bank statements instead of the name of your business. After the transaction has been settled by their bank and is no longer “Pending” (typically within 48 hours), the correct business descriptor will display on the statement. The updated descriptor will appear as "GDP*[Example Descriptor]" on your customers' statements.
