Understand Lead Time Calculation in calendar days
Lead time calculation for the Local Pickup Plus plugin can be a daunting process as it's closely related to the business hours setting provided by the plugin. In this article, we'll discuss one of the two calculation methods called Count calendar days. Ignores business hours and holidays.
Required: Local Pickup Plus is a premium WooCommerce extension included with WordPress Ecommerce Hosting or as a standalone purchase.
This method will start counting the lead time duration based on the calendar days. For example, a lead time of two days will be 48 hours, no matter if your physical store will be open or if you have set a holiday in the calendar. If the resulting time falls outside of the location's opening hours, the next available opening hour and day will be used.
This is a great option for 24/7 hours shops and businesses with products that require long preparation time. However, make sure you note that customers can schedule pickup appointments even on weekends and at late hours because the plugin will start counting the lead time from the time the customer will place the order. So, unusual pickup times may apply.
