About .MUSIC domains

Dot Music Limited is the sponsor and Tucows Registry Services is the backend provider for the .MUSIC extension.

Who can register .MUSIC domains?

The .MUSIC Nexus Requirements state registrants must have a connection and history with the .MUSIC domain name being registered and comply with the following:

  • Standard self-attestation disclosure must be checked during the registration flow.
  • Registrants are required to complete programmatic and manual nexus audits when contacted by the registry. Audit notifications will be sent to the registrant email and will contain a link to the audit system. Failure to complete an audit request could result in the respective domain name being subject to suspension, server lock, or in worst cases, revocation.
  • Registrars will be notified when audit requests are sent, successfully completed or when a nexus audit has failed.

Before you can start using your .MUSIC domain, you must complete your Identity Verification. Details for completing this will be sent to the registrant email address.

If you do not receive the email or if you deleted the email, you can go to instructions here on how to activate your domain.
