About .at domains
Every .at domain has the same requirements, restrictions, and supported features, such as registrations and renewals, transfers, and DNS.
Registrations and renewals
Anyone can register .at domains on a first-come, first-served basis.
- New registrations
- Registration length: 1-1 years
- Must use: 1-63 characters
- Can use: Letters (a-z characters), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (except in the 3rd and 4th characters of the domain name)
- Cannot use: Special characters (e.g., & or #)
- IDNs (Internationalized Domain Names): Supported
- Renewals
- Renewal length: 1-1 years
- You can manually renew your domain up to 30 days before expiration. We'll attempt to auto-renew 17 days before expiration, and we'll park the domain after the first failed billing attempt. Redemption fees may be applied within 24 hours of expiration. Check out the standard expiration timeline for details on what happens after expiration.

.at domains must use authoritative nameservers. This means the domain must already be configured with a valid DNS zone on the intended nameservers before they can be assigned to your .at domain.
Cancellation requirements
Cancel the .at domain in your GoDaddy account and then contact a GoDaddy Guide to complete the process.
