Why there is no loyalty discount for us?

I am almost 6 years Goddady hostings user. I paid a lot of times to Goddaddy and still paying - by monthly and annually -. However I can see that there are discounts only available for new users and even not a loyalty discount for old users too. I asked a lot of times to godaddy sales support and they say there is no discount or promo codes - like % 50 or % 40 off - for regular Godaddy users.

I think this is ridiculous and not fair. I believe it should be loyalty discount for regular godaddy members and site owners.

@vpbay Most of the promo codes will work with hosting renewals.

What else would you buy that they offer rather than shop around.

Getting Started

We all use promo's, Promotions, to entice potential new clients to try our businesses. It's a one time offer that is used to earn their business and from that point on it's up to us to earn their continued patronage.

We typically offer to build small businesses a free website when they sign up for a minimum 1 year with our full marketing plan. Once the site is complete if they are not satisfied they can drop the plan and relinquish the website or fulfill the full year and keep it. It's up to us to make their business a success and thus we keep their business and patronage at the current rates offered per chosen plan.

If we do our job and the client continues with our services the Promotion Discount has done what it was intended to do. If they leave we loose money--thus we strive to not fail in our promises; but to be honest, at times it does happen.

I hope that you can see why a company that is in business to make a profit can not continue to absorb losses in order to keep a client beyond the initial promo period. It's like going to Safeway on Saturday and expecting to get the sale items offered for $5.00 Friday, it just doesn't work that way. Get there on Friday and those prices are a great leader intent on getting you in the front door.

Over the past 18 years we have worked with many hosting companies and GoDaddy.com ranks near the top of the list in service and value. Service and Value... in this there is a fine balance that companies need to find where profits are maintained and clients are retained. There are cheaper web hosting companies but you do get what you pay for. There are also many more expensive companies and there services need to be evaluated based upon the needs of your website.
