PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) failing

All PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) to all my websites hosted by Godaddy suddenly stopped working for last 2 days.

All my sites a WordPress site and has been working well for last 1 year. I have not changed anything either on back-end or Paypal Settings.

Called PayPal and they told me the problem is with the Hosting server.

Anybody has the same problem?

Today got this e-mail from PayPal:

I have the same issue. Started failing March 13 at 10:56 pm.

It is happening with me too. After spending the best part of 45 mins on chat the outcome was to reconnect to chat and speak to the web hosting team.

Getting the same issue.

All PayPal IPN messages are Retrying since 13/14th.

Was on the phone with a lovely gent.

Literally as we were talking the Admins had added the issue to their whiteboard (Their bug/issue tracking software, nicknamed whiteboard) and said it may actually be resolved within the next hour or so.

If you do call them up, reference: kiid-1489601300

Which is the Whiteboard ID for this PayPal IPN issue. 🙂

They had blocked an IP, or needed to unblock an IP, which they believe was the root cause.

Mine is fixed now too 🙂

Those that got fixed, other than the person that said unblock an IP, exactly how did they fix it?
