Yes, GoDaddy SmartLine is replaced by GoDaddy Conversations mobile app. GoDaddy Conversations helps small businesses with the following features. Unified Inbox: It helps entrepreneurs manage all of their communication channels, including calls, text messages, GoDaddy Microsoft 365 email and social media – Facebook and Instagram in one place, eliminating the need to switch between different platforms.

What is Unified Messaging?

Unified Messaging enables one platform to integrate communications from various channels into one user interface where they can be viewed, responded to and accessed without the user having to switch between multiple applications. Conversations offers a unified inbox to access all messages across key platforms like voice, text, GoDaddy Microsoft 365 email and social media like Facebook and Instagram.

Can I use the app with either an iOS or Android phone?

Yes. Conversations is available on both iOS and Android apps.

Can I send text messages from my Conversations second number?

You receive texts, pictures, and documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT) from the app, so you don’t have to disclose your personal number to customers. You can send texts once you’re on a paid plan and your business has been verified. Local number registration requires a $19 one-time fee while toll-free number registration is free. How many calls and texts do I get with my subscription?

The amount included with your plan is generous, and most users don’t go above the maximum thresholds. Learn more about our fair use policy in our Conversations terms and conditions.

Can I make and receive calls from outside the U.S.?

You can receive calls from any phone number, including phone numbers outside the U.S. At this time, you can make calls to U.S. phone numbers only.

Can my second phone number be toll-free?

Yes. Toll-free numbers are available by selecting our toll-free plan. Customers can choose the type of number that works best for their business.

Can I get a “true” 1-800 number?

Yes, we offer (800) prefix toll-free numbers as well as all other toll-free prefixes – 833, 844, 855, 866, 877, and 888.

Can I use my current number with the Conversations app?

Yes. You can port or transfer your existing number over to Conversations from your current carrier. After you purchase Conversations, you will need to contact a GoDaddy Guide at (480) 463-8835 to begin the number transfer process. More details on how the process works can be found here.

Can I get a second phone number for personal use?

Of course! Conversations Business Call & Text is designed for business, but it can be used for non-business purposes. A second phone number is great for little league coaches, listing items for sale online, and more.

Does Conversations use my phone plan’s minutes?

You can choose whether you want to make and receive calls on GoDaddy Conversations through an internet connection (mobile data/wifi connection) or by connecting your business number to your personal cellular number. Data and calling rates may apply without unlimited data or calling plan.

Is VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone service available?

Yes, you can set up calls through GoDaddy Conversations with VOIP (Mobile Data/Wifi Connection). Additionally you can use set up calls to go through your cellular connection.

An internet connection is required to use GoDaddy Conversations in general. If you have neither a cellular nor wifi data connection, you will not be able to use Conversations.
