Add a list of website members
Websites + Marketing's private pages can only be seen by those who receive an email containing a private link to create a member account on your website. Add multiple members by entering email addresses manually or by importing a spreadsheet of names and email addresses. (If you prefer, you can also add members one at a time.)
Note: You can only add members after you've created at least one private page. Members will have access to all of your site's private pages.
- Go to your GoDaddy product page.
- Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
- On your dashboard, expand Customers, and then select All.
- Select Add Contacts.
- From the 3 options for adding website members, select either Upload an existing list by file (.csv) or Copy and paste an existing list.
- If you select Upload an existing list by file (.csv, .txt, .xls or .xlsx):
- The spreadsheet must be formatted as a .csv (comma-separated values), .xls, or .xlsx file. To ensure you're using the right format, select Get Example to downloaded a template, and then add your own names and email addresses to it.
- Drag and drop your completed file into the space provided, or select upload from your device and find the file on your computer.
- (Optional) Add the email addresses to an existing list or create a new one.
- (Optional) Select email marketing permissions for the list (make sure you have their permission to send them marketing emails).
- Expand Private Page Access and ensure the box for access to private pages (Members) is selected. You can also choose to invite the contact to create their account via email.
- Select Import File.
- Once the upload completes, you'll return to the Customers window.
- If you select Copy and paste an existing list:
- Enter the list of email addresses into the space provided, separated by commas, semi-colons or spaces.
- Select Add to add the email addresses and return to the same window, or Add and Close to add the email addresses and return to the Customers window.
The new contacts will now show on your members list.
