    Default upload file permission

I went through the customer service but they were no help at all.

Is there a way to default your file upload's (via ftp client) permission to be 755 instead of 644. I can change the permission after I upload or as I upload (using file manager) but I like it done in way that all files I upload will automatically set to 755.

You would simply change the file permissions before you uploaded them. The FTP client shouldn't change them as it's uploading them.

    Hi there,

You could use a program such a putty to get into the root of your site , run chmod -R 755 /www/whatever your name is.....

If you are wanting to run commands the terminal is the best way, easiest way to go - ftp is nice and all but.... takes forever if you want to do something like this.

    Hope this helps
