I am wondering if this can be fixed somehow. On my website there are posts, each post has it's own page and a picture to go with it. There is also a banner at the top that I set to show on every page. I also put share buttons on every page as well so that the posts can be shared individually. I would like the picture that goes with the post to show up when it is shared on facebook. However, on some of the pages, when you click the facebook share button, no picture shows up, sometimes the banner at the top shows up, and sometimes the actual post picture shows up like I want. How do I make it work the way I want all the time. I didn't make the pages any differently so I don't understand why this happens.
Much of what appears on FB varies depending on how FB is responding to your information. I use a couple of plugins that allow me to control how my posts/pages look to FB. One is NextScripts AutoPoster (https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-networks-auto-poster-facebook-twitter-g/).
The other is the Yoast SEO plugin. https://yoast.com/ It has a section on how the "snippets" appear. The autoposter is a great production tool!
Hope this helps,
