Is there any way to change the name of my domain?

I missed to disable automatic renew and now I have a domain name that I don't need, but I want to registering a new one. The extensions gonna be the same (.com) and I don't want to redraw money from the old one (the new one gonna be in the half of the price of the old one, if I want to register it).
Is there any way to do this?

Depending on when it renewed - You may be able to get a refund - but otherwise you will need to just purchase the new domain
