Managing new user access

I changed website host because my site was overwhelmed by fake users and spammers. I was getting 20-3 false requests daily. I was happy to not receive any since I moved to Go Daddy. I just learned that I have 1200 users pending and none are valid, So the problem i I am not being notified. I manage a small High School Alumni site that has few requests monthly. It is so much more work to find and delete the request. How can I change the criteria for entry and notification

It's hard to say for sure what is happening in your situation. I'd recommend providing some additional information like the URL for your site and how it is built. If you use a CMS like WordPress, including the plugins and theme you're using would probably also help the community suggest an answer. Hope you're able to get this figured out!
