.app domain with subdomains

I bought an .app domain and successfully installed the SSL certificate that comes with it.

Now I want to create a subdomain my.domain.app, do I have to buy another SSL certificate, or subdomains can run https-less?

I set up the subdomain, but it constantly redirects to https and google chrome says: "Your connection is not private".

Re: .app domain with subdomains

Hi @fakeheal, thanks for posting.

You would still need an SSL for subdomains. If you plan on creating/using many subdomains, you may want to consider using a wildcard SSL, which would secure all subdomains for a single domain.

How do you apply the wildcard SSL to your subdomains?
