    SSL - should my address bar be green with a lock now?

    Purchased a standard SSl for my website, thought it would make my address bar turn green with the lock symbol…am I wrong in thinking this?

    https://www.globalsign.com/en/ssl-information-center/types-of-ssl-certificate/ use that link for more information on the types of SSL Certs available.

    All screenshots taken from Chrome.

    Godaddy's Standard SSL uses a Domain SSL type of cert My site using the Godaddy Standard Cert looks like thisSSL

    An Organization SSL  will look the same as a Domain SSL in your browser but the Cert contains additional information on the organization that requested the cert.

    an Extended Validation Cert will show the company name and be highlighted in Green. and looks like this

    Godaddy SSL

    @skyline,

    The lock doesn't show up unless you type https:// - what's your URL? Has the SSL been installed on your site?

    I'm having the same issue. When I type in my site with https:// there is no green bar and no lock.
