About .BLUE domains

Donuts is the sponsor and Demand Media is the backend provider for the .BLUE extension.

Registrations and renewals

Anyone can register .BLUE domains on a first-come, first-served basis. All .BLUE domains have the same registration and renewal requirements.

• New registrations
  
  • Registration length: 1-10 years
  • Must use: 1-63 characters
  • Can use: Letters (a-z characters), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (except in the 3rd and 4th characters of the domain name)
  • Cannot use: Special characters (e.g., & or #)
  • IDNs (Internationalized Domain Names): Not Supported
• Renewals
  
  • Renewal length: 1-10 years
  • Your domain can be renewed anytime prior to its expiration date. We'll attempt to auto-renew your domain on its expiration date, and we'll park the domain after the first failed billing attempt. Redemption fees may be applied on the 12th day after expiration. The domain will be canceled if it's not renewed within 40 days after expiration, but it still might be recoverable in your GoDaddy account for a short time.
