Troubleshoot notifications for Chat + Conversations
Messages from your GoDaddy website chat widget are sent to your Conversations inbox, and you can enable or disable email and in-app notifications for these messages.
If you’ve set up your notification preferences but they’re not working as expected, here are a few things you can try.
Not getting email notifications:
- Confirm that the email address you’re checking is the one registered to receive email notifications. Follow the steps for managing notifications for Chat + Conversations to make sure the right email address has been enabled.
- Check the junk folder for your email account and make sure notifications aren’t being sent there. Mark the email address "notifications@mail.conversations.godaddy.com" as not spam.
Not getting notifications in your web browser:
- Turn off any device or browser “do not disturb” settings.
- In your browser’s settings, disable notifications and then re-enable them for GoDaddy Conversations. You can also do this by following the steps for managing notifications for Chat + Conversations.
Not getting email notifications:
- Confirm that the email address you’re checking is the one registered to receive email notifications. Follow the steps for managing notifications for Chat + Conversations to make sure the right email address has been enabled.
- Check the junk folder for your email account and make sure notifications aren’t being sent there. Mark the email address "notifications@mail.conversations.godaddy.com" as not spam.
- Sign out of your GoDaddy Conversations app and sign back in again. This will update your notification settings if they’ve expired.
Not getting notifications in your Conversations mobile app:
- In your Settings app, check your device Focus settings to make sure they’re not blocking notifications.
- Also in your Settings app, under Notifications, make sure your device allows the GoDaddy Conversations app to send notifications.
Not getting email notifications:
- Confirm that the email address you’re checking is the one registered to receive email notifications. Follow the steps for managing notifications for Chat + Conversations to make sure the right email address has been enabled.
