Moving my PHP WordPress website to GoDaddy?

Hello everyone

I have a php website managed with wordpress located on a host somewhere.

I need to move it to godaddy.

should i use regular Linux hosting plan or i need to purchase any additional options for wordpress extension.

and another thing... anyone have a "step-step" moving strategy?

Its been a while since I did that... If I remember correctly... It's as simple as moving the actual files, move db and make sure you have same credentials... Having the same version of php might be required too but im not sure...

A regular linux box should be able to do the work... Just keep in mind that WP sites tend to use more resources than custom sites.

Also, keep in mind that godaddy's web hosting with cPanel offers a word press one click installer
