Trying to set up Office 365 email through my new domain and am stuck. Verify I own the domain name.

Hi - I am clearly not technology savy in the least.

I have started a new company and purchased a domain name. I have tried to set up email through microsoft 365 exchange. They were going to send me an email to verify I own the domain name. The email won't come through and after some due diligence I realize that GoDaddy says there is a different "nameserver" on this address. I'm completely lost. I just need to get an email setup that works and then I'll bring in a website expert at some point soon. Can someone help me do this?

Hi @powerhog1982,

These days email can be really confusing!  See if this link solves your problem.

It's about using a TXT record to verify you own the domain.  It sounds hard, but isn't in most cases.

Hope this helps,

James
